- The addition of infrared preheating raises the temperature of the welding rib area, softening the material and thus avoiding particles caused by dry friction, while also reducing the amplitude required for vibration and reducing residual stresses in the weld of the part, ultimately achieving the desired weld performance and assembly appearance.
- The figure below is a schematic of particle generation. The left diagram shows the upper and lower parts in the cold state with dry friction, generating a lot of particulate matter. The right diagram shows the upper and lower parts under the condition of softening in the hot state, and no particulate matter is generated.
