Choose the Right Plastic Welding Process

Plastic welding equipment should be selected according to polymer compatibility, joint geometry, part size, visible-surface requirements, production volume and the required weld strength or leak performance. No single process is suitable for every thermoplastic assembly.

Vibration welding machines are commonly evaluated for medium and large thermoplastic parts with suitable linear joint surfaces. Hot plate welding machines provide controlled heating for larger or complex assemblies where the joint surfaces can contact a heated tool.

For localized joining, staking or multi-point assembly, review our ultrasonic welding machines. Projects requiring clean, non-contact energy delivery and precise visible joints may be candidates for a laser plastic welding machine.
