Hot gas welding machine uses a non-contact heating method to join two parts together. A hot gas unit injects a directional jet of heated nitrogen gas through a row of pinholes into the weld rib of the upper and lower parts, heating and softening the plastic. The hot gas unit stops the gas supply and withdraws, and the upper and lower parts are pressed and cooled until they are bonded together.
Hot gas welding machine produces no particulate matter and does not degrade the material, making it suitable for all types of plastic parts, including harder-to-weld materials such as PBT, POM, PPO, PPS, and others. For many high-quality thermoplastics, hot gas welding machine is the only way to obtain a high-strength, homogeneous, particle-free thermal fusion.
